Alessio Trerotoli is an Italian photographer, born and raised in Rome, who finds his subject matter traveling the world.

Inspired by the character and movement of the places he visits, Trerotoli creates abstract representations of urban landscapes by superimposing several different photographs to build a single, multi-layered image. Each and every detail is duplicated a dozen times, the lights and structures multiplied, the hustle and bustle amplified – with this technique Trerotoli builds dazzling and strange visions of seemingly familiar places.

His series, Cities in Motion, features both iconic and everyday views of New York City, layered to showcase the surprisingly lush textures of his urban dreamscapes.
